Social Outreach

Every bag of coffee we sell does more than reach your cup — it feeds a community.

Revenue from our coffee sales directly funds weekly meals for up to 50 women and children in a community in the heart of Kampala. We built Sage community church that now serves as a hub for this support, and we’re going further: training these same women in coffee farming, giving them the skills and income to build lasting independence rather than relying on aid.

This is coffee with a purpose built in from the ground up — where the beans you buy sustain the people who grow them, today and for the future.

Currently Delivering
Farmer training — teaching women coffee farming skills to build sustainable income

Expanding Our Support

Deepening Farming Skills

  • Post-harvest processing training (drying, sorting, grading) to increase the value of beans grown and sold
  • Basic bookkeeping and small business skills so women can manage their own plots as independent income sources

Building Financial Resilience

  • Group Savings & Loan Association — small weekly group savings with internal lending, helping women build assets beyond weekly income.
  • Formalising a registered women’s cooperative, giving collective bargaining power on coffee sales.

Health & Family Wellbeing

  • Basic health support (maternal health check-ins,) via partnership with a local clinic
  • School fee and uniform support for children, linked to programme attendance
  • A literacy/learning hour for children alongside mothers’ training sessions

Sustainability & Scale

  • Seeking co-funding partners (NGOs, mission funds, development agencies) to reduce reliance on coffee revenue alone
  • Tracking outcomes — women trained, income change, meal attendance — to measure impact and support future funding applications.
This phased approach reflects our commitment to moving communities from weekly support toward long-term independence, one harvest at a time.
